Elevate Your State Week 1 - Love Letters to Your Future Self

One day they become calm, vitality, and purpose.

  

This quote deeply resonated with me. It reminded me of a coaching session I once had with a client, a practicing attorney, the family breadwinner, and a mother to a teenage daughter. On the outside, she appeared successful and capable, but beneath the surface, she was barely holding herself together.

  

Her long working hours had taken their toll. Stress and anxiety had become her constant companions. She was diabetic, suffered from high blood pressure, rarely slept well, and her energy was depleted. Her relationships were strained, and her patience was thin. She lived on energy drinks to get through the day and described herself as angry, exhausted, not enough, and alone.

  

When I asked her to rate her physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing on a scale of 1–10, all her scores were below 4. Her overall state of being was painfully low. She was simply existing. Moving from one day to the next, fueled by habit and obligation rather than vitality and joy.

  

When I introduced her to my PRIME Program and spoke about elevating her state of being, she looked at me and said, "There's a line in the sand. When my day is up, it's up."

  

While I understood her resignation, I gently offered another perspective:

  

Yes, our time on earth is finite. But until that day comes, we have choice. We can choose how we live. We can choose how we feel. We can choose to cultivate peace, energy, and meaning in the time we have.

  

Wouldn't it be beautiful to live your remaining days with vibrancy, clarity, and strength? To feel alive, calm, and present. Right up until your final breath?

  

We may not control the adversities life brings, illness, loss, or challenge, but we do have control over how we meet them. Through daily conscious choices, we can elevate our state of being and, in doing so, transform the quality of our lives.

  

I recently read a powerful reminder:

  

"Don't complain about aging. It's a privilege many don't get to experience."

  

And another timeless truth:

  

"I cried because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet." - Helen Keller

  

Gratitude opens the heart. Presence transforms perception. And our choices, small, consistent, intentional, shape the energy that defines our days.

  

So this week, I invite you to reflect:

  

  • What daily actions could serve as love letters to your future self?

  • How can you nurture your body, calm your mind, and connect with your inner peace?

  • What would it look like to live each day as if it were a privilege?

  

We are co-creators of our reality. We can design a life that feels meaningful, vibrant, and whole. It all begins with our state of being.

  

Your Practice This Week: Mindful Movement

  

Movement is medicine. Not punishment, not performance - medicine.

  

When you move with awareness, you're telling your body: I'm here. I'm listening. I care.

  

This week's practice: Join me for a short mindful movement flow designed to wake up your body gently and reconnect you with the vitality that's already within you.

  

This isn't about how far you can stretch or how strong you are. It's about presence. It's about feeling your body move, your breath flow, and your energy shift.

  

  

Practice this flow at whatever time feels right for you, morning, midday, or evening. It just takes a few minutes. The consistency matters more than the duration.

  

Notice what changes when you approach movement as an act of self-care rather than obligation. Notice how your body responds when you move with it instead of against it.

  

This is your first love letter. Write it daily.

  

Elevate your state, elevate your life. Master yourself, master your life.
