Elevate Your State Week 3 - Empowered or Exhausted? Choosing the State You Live From

Have you ever woken up and, before your feet even touched the floor, already felt behind?

The emails waiting, the errands piling up, the constant pressure to keep up. It's as if life has turned into one long to-do list.

For many of us, that's become normal. We push through, powered by caffeine and adrenaline, telling ourselves "I'll rest when things slow down." But they rarely do.

The truth is, you're not just tired. You're living from a disempowered state.

Everything we experience in life flows from one of two primary states: Empowered or Disempowered.

An empowered state feels light, clear, confident, and open. You make decisions from alignment and calm presence.

A disempowered state feels heavy, reactive, and drained. You act from fear, pressure, or habit rather than intention.

When you're disempowered, you're in survival mode. You overthink, overreact, overgive. You say yes when you mean no. You run on empty and call it productivity.

When you're empowered, you lead yourself. You pause before reacting. You prioritize energy over busyness. You respond instead of rush.

It's not about eliminating challenge or stress, it's about how you meet them. When life becomes demanding, an empowered state helps you rise above reactivity and remember your own power of choice.

In my coaching work, I often meet people, parents, professionals, caregivers, who've forgotten what it feels like to be in control of their energy. They're exhausted not because they're doing too much, but because they're doing everything from depletion.

Shifting your state begins with awareness:

"Am I operating from fear or from faith?" "From tension or from trust?" "From chaos or from calm?"

Your energy reveals your truth long before your words do.

Energy is contagious. Have you ever noticed how one person's calm can settle an entire room, or how another's anxiety can make you feel uneasy without them saying a word?

That's the power of energetic influence.

You are always broadcasting your state. Through your tone, your presence, your posture, and your breath.

When you shift your state, you don't just transform your own life. You elevate everyone you encounter.

As Dr. Joe Dispenza teaches, "You can't create a new reality from the same state of being that created your current one." Empowerment begins when you decide to regulate your internal world before reacting to the external one.

Your Practice This Week: Gratitude Practice

When you're living from exhaustion, it's easy to focus on everything that's wrong, everything that's hard, everything you don't have.

Gratitude is the antidote.

Not as some toxic positivity that ignores real struggles, but as a practice that helps you see what's also true: the good that exists alongside the hard.

Gratitude shifts your nervous system from threat response to safety. It literally rewires your brain to notice abundance instead of scarcity.

This week's practice: Use the gratitude template below to anchor yourself in what's working, even when life feels heavy.

This isn't about pretending everything is perfect. It's about training your awareness to notice both the struggle and the gifts.

When you make gratitude a daily practice, you stop waiting for life to get better before you feel good. You learn to find the good that's already here.

Try this every evening for seven days. Notice what shifts in your perspective, your energy, your state.

Because when you lead your energy, you lead your life.

Elevate your state, elevate your life.

Master yourself, master your life.
