How to raise your state of being...
Updated: Jul 20
True transformation begins internally.
The movement upward in the building is inner work.
That inner work is deeply connected to the three dimensions of our being:
Body. Mind. Heart.
These three dimensions work together in unison. They are interconnected. One continuously affects the other. If one dimension is neglected, the others weaken too.
It’s like driving a car with one flat tyre. The journey becomes difficult, uncomfortable, and draining. You may still move forward, but slowly, painfully, and with far more effort. But when all the tyres are strong, balanced, and aligned, the journey becomes smoother. There is greater ease, stability, clarity, and a far higher possibility of reaching your destination.
The same applies to us.
When the body is depleted, the mind struggles.
When the mind is overwhelmed, the heart closes.
When the heart is wounded or disconnected, the body often carries the burden.
Everything is connected.
Often, the external struggles we experience in life are reflections of what is happening internally.
The Three Dimensions of Inner Work
1. The Body
The body is not just something we carry around. It is the vehicle through which we experience life.
How we nourish it, move it, rest it, and care for it directly affects our state of being. When the body is constantly exhausted, inflamed, stressed, sedentary, or overloaded, our energy drops. Motivation drops. Clarity drops. Resilience drops.
We feel heavy.
When our physical state is low, it becomes difficult to elevate any other area of our lives. But when we strengthen and support the body through movement, nourishing food, breathwork, sleep, hydration, stability, mobility, flexibility, and conscious habits, energy begins to rise.
We feel more alive.
The body begins supporting the mind and emotional system rather than working against them.
2. The Mind
The mind is incredibly powerful. It can imprison us or liberate us.
Most suffering comes not only from what happens to us, but from the thoughts, meanings, stories, assumptions, and interpretations we continuously attach to life. An unconscious mind lives in constant reaction. It overthinks. Catastrophises. Replays the past. Fears the future. Creates stories that may not even be true.
Over time, mental overwhelm drains our energy and lowers our overall state of being. But through awareness and mindful presence, we begin observing the mind rather than being controlled by it.
We create space.
And in that space comes choice.
The more conscious the mind becomes, the calmer and clearer life begins to feel.
3. The Heart
The heart is the emotional dimension of our being.
This is where connection, compassion, meaning, purpose, gratitude, forgiveness, intuition, love, and deeper truth live. When the heart is closed through pain, resentment, fear, shame, disappointment, or emotional wounds, life can feel empty, disconnected, and heavy, no matter how successful things may appear externally.
The body feels it.
The mind reflects it.
Life responds to it.
As we heal, soften, forgive, accept, and reconnect to ourselves and life, something profound begins to shift.
We begin living more consciously. More openly. More presently.
We stop merely surviving and begin truly living.
Raising Your State of Being
When we work on all three dimensions: Body, Mind, and Heart, we begin raising our overall state of being. This is essential for growth, because our external lives are often reflections of our internal state.
If our physical, mental, and emotional states are low, it can feel as though we have very little energy available for life itself.
Everything feels harder, heavier, more draining.
Not much can truly flourish from that state.
But when we elevate these dimensions within ourselves, something remarkable happens. We begin operating from a higher level of consciousness and awareness.
We feel lighter. More energised. More emotionally balanced. More mentally clear. More resilient. And from this elevated state, life often begins changing externally too.
Sometimes opportunities appear.
Sometimes synchronicities happen.
Sometimes relationships improve.
Sometimes clarity arrives.
Sometimes purpose becomes clearer.
Even when difficult situations still arise, because life will always contain challenges, we handle them differently. With more calm, more awareness, more presence, more wisdom.
Things no longer pull us down the way they once did. Why?
Because we are no longer living from the lower floors of unconsciousness.
We are rising.
Floor by floor.
Moment by Moment.
Choice by choice.
And perhaps that is what true transformation really is:
Not becoming someone else... but elevating into the highest expression of who you already are.
As within, so without. When we raise our inner world, our outer world begins to change too.
